Hosties4Heroes do #MISSIONSASSY
We are Hosties4Heroes, an organisation of glamorous Air Hostesses who take on crazy challenges, ‘Shaking up a cocktail of mud & glamour,’ to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes.
On the 10/11th of June armed with the perfect red lippy pout and our Proskins team kit, we took on the ultimate SAS inspired challenge. Sixteen Hosties, four team captains & sponsors were pushed to our limits both physically and mentally over a brutal 2 day course, put together by the badass Ollie Ollerton & Jason Fox, stars of channel 4’s ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins.’
Break Point UK http://www.break-point.com/ is set in a secret location in Sussex and each course is designed to arm participants with the vital skills needed to be a Special Forces Operator. Working in teams, we were put through a number of tests designed to evaluate mental and physical strength and endurance: Map reading & navigation, bush craft & survival, escape & evasion……just a few of the skills essential to our #MISSIONSASSY special op.
So……with a face full of camouflage cream and of course….our sassy red lippy, in true Hostie style, we ventured behind enemy lines on a LIVE op…..
Aim of mission: gather intelligence, disarm the enemy and get to the extraction point ALIVE!
So through the mud, sweat, tears, wet feet, ration packs, loaded marches, chilly night under the stars, we powered on through to finish this epic challenge and smash our fundraising target.
Huge thanks to everyone at Break Point UK and Proskins for helping us make #MISSIONSASSY a success. We raised a phenomenal £15,712 which brings our total to just over £44k to date for Help for Heroes.
