Leon still on top as he secures double podiums at Brands over Easter

The “Pocket Rocket” remains in the lead of the MCE British Superbike Championship after second and third places in round two at Brands Hatch on Monday.

“Overall I’m pretty happy with two podium finishes and retaining the lead of the championship. We’ve had a mixed weekend in terms of getting the best from the machine but the team worked really well and I’ll take the results and move on to the next round.”

“I knew that Luke (Mossey) and his set-up had a bit more grip at the rear tyre compared to me, especially out of the final turn, so he was always going to pull away from me after he got past in both races.”

“I’m happy to get on the podium again in both races but frustrated that we weren’t able to completely fix the issues but we’ll move on to Oulton Park in two weeks and chase more victories there.” – Leon Haslam
