This Girl Can – #PoweredByProskins
Here at Proskins we are supporting the Sport England nationwide campaign This Girl Can.
Funded by the National Lottery, the campaign is all about getting women and girls moving.
Regardless of their shape, size and ability.
Their research reveals a huge difference in the number of men and women playing sport. And it’s not because females don’t want to get active. Millions of women and girls are afraid to exercise because of fear of judgement.
We want to tell the story of real women who exercise and play sport (either individually or as a team) and share their reasons of why they do what they do. We also want to help you to get started, giving you information on where to go and who to ask.
There’s loads of info on the This Girl Can website, including a “Where to get Active” section with over 70 different activities to inspire you from Kickboxing to Quidditch http://www.thisgirlcan.co.uk/activities/
Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be speaking to you, our real life Proskins fans, to see how you get involoved and spread the message. We’ve already started with the Welsh Women’s Lacrosse team (watch our video below) and have loads more lined up.
