SKINNY SCRUNCHIE:
At Proskins we are always looking for ways we can reduce waste and improve our sustainability, so after a lightbulb moment, the Proskins Skinny Scrunchie was born.
To make our garments, we first cut out the individual components from a roll of fabric. We do this by rolling out the fabric onto a giant cutting table. We use “lay plans” to maximise fabric usage and minimise waste. This is like a giant jigsaw and there are always gaps left between the pattern pieces. We are now adding in the Scrunchies to “fill in the gaps” and reduce wastage.
