Leon Haslam 2018 British Superbike Championship

Round 7: Thruxton, Hampshire August 3-5Qualifying: 8th – 1m 15.402s
Race one: 1st – 25m 33.822s
Race two: 4th – +1.854s
Best race lap: 1m 15.882s – race one 7/20
Championship: 1st – 280 points (43 podium credits)

“It was a good weekend, we extended the championship lead and the podium credits, and I got my first ever win at Thruxton, so all of that is really positive.

“In race two we really struggled, the temperature was a bit higher and so was the pace and the tyres just dropped off. I wasn’t on the SC0 so couldn’t push as hard as I would have liked and lost the podium place on the last lap.“We will walk away from our worst circuit of the year and move onto my favourite which is Cadwell Park next. Thanks to all the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team for all their hard work this weekend.”

Next round: Cadwell Park, August 17-19
